There are several types of stove on the market, so how do you know which one is right for you?

Woodburning stoves. A wood-burning stove is a heating appliance that can be used in a domestic home or business. It is capable of burning different types of wood. Generally the appliance consists of solid metal and has a closed fire chamber, a fire brick base and an adjustable air control. There are lots of different heat outputs to give you the option of installing the right one to heat your room size.

Pellet/Biomass Stoves. Pellet stoves burn compressed wood or biomass pellets to create a source of heat. By slowly feeding fuel automatically from the storage container (called the hopper) into the burn tray, a constant flame is created and monitored to ensure maximum efficiency.

Multi-fuel stoves. Multi-fuel stoves are very similar to wood burning stoves, but are capable of burning wood and fuels other than wood. These stoves have a grate for the fire to burn on and a removable ash pan. If you are not planning on burning wood all year, or do not have the space to store wood, these stoves give you the option to find a different fuel to suit your needs.

Boiler stoves. A boiler stove burns wood to heat water. This can then be used for heating your home via central heating or to have hot water from your taps. The boiler stove is usually connected to a hot water tank which stores the water until you need it as boiler stoves do not automatically heat water in the way a gas boiler would.

We can arrange to have your stove fitted by one of our fully qualified and HETAS Registered engineers if you live within Anglesey, Conwy, Gwynned, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Cheshire, Wrexham and Shropshire. We can also find you a qualified engineer in your area if necessary.
